Saint Valentines Day and more lies...

Valentines Day as a kid growing up being raised as a Catholic was always celebrated in school as St. Valentines Day with the kids passing out cute cards with cherubs holding a bow and arrow (Cupid) and red hearts were everywhere. Later as an adult I really never paid much attention to it...but I have known some women friends of mine to actually get depressed over it not being recognized by a desired "other".

Now as a Christian that knows what Catholicism is all about and all the deceptions contained in that "religion" I began to wonder about this St. Valentine. So what are the actual roots of Valentines Day? Was there really a Saint by that name and if so what did he do? Or was this another Easter/Ishtar masquerade? So here are my findings of this research.

The Greek Orthodox church comes right out and says there is no St. Valentine...the Roman Catholic church on the other hand once again uses deception and confusion to answer the question: was there really a St. Valentine? Apparently they say there are several, 14 in total...seems they like this number. They claim they are martyred saints of ancient Rome. You can check out what Wikipedia has to say on them. But they actually have nothing to do with the day that is celebrated.

So, going back even further I discovered the ancient Romans believed that each month had a spirit attached to it that gained strength and reached its peak of power in the middle or what they called the ides of the
month.  Apparently March is not the only month with Ides...they all have them. This was usually the 15th day of the month and it was a day when witches, augurs, or soothsayers worked their magic. An augur was a person possessed with a spirit of divination and from the word augur we actually get the word “inaugurate”
which means to “take omens”. Very interesting, wouldn't you say?  Since February had been robbedof a day by Caesar and then Augustus it had only 28 days and the ides of February became the 14th day of that month. Since the Ides of a month was celebrated on the night before or "eve", the month of February was different because it was the 13th day that became the eve of the Ides of that month and it became a very important pagan holiday in the Roman Empire.A very sacred day of February 14th was called “Lupercalia” or “day of the wolf.”

The festivities began with the sacrifice by the Luperci (or the flamen dialis) of two male goats and a dog. Then two young people of breeding and "high stature" who were Luperci were led to the sacrificial altar to be anointed on their foreheads with the sacrificial blood. The blood was wiped off the bloody knife with wool soaked in milk. Then they went off smiling and laughing to the next horrendous part of the pagan holy day.

A sacrificial feast would follow after which the Luperci cut strips of skin or thongs from the the victims, which were called februa, and dressed themselves up in the bloody skins of the sacrificed goats in imitation of Lupercus and ran around the walls of the old Palatine city. A line would form which was marked with stones and with the thongs in their hands in two groups they would strike the people who crowded near. Girls and young women would line up on the route to receive lashes from these whips. This was supposed to ensure their fertility and prevent sterility in women and ease the pains of childbirth.

These young women would then gather in the city and their names would be put into boxes. These so called "love notes” were called “billets”. The men of Rome would draw a billet and the woman whose name was on it became his sexual lust partner with whom he would fornicate until the next Lupercalia or February 14th.

Welcome to reality. Now just for the record...the color “red” was special to that day because of the blood from the sacrifice and the ever popular “heart shape” was not a representation of the human heart which looks nothing like that. This shape represents the human female matrix or opening to the chamber of sacred copulation...in other words LUST. Remember these demons turn everything UPSIDE DOWN...so turn the heart over and you can easily see the buttocks...you can take it from there. Also cupid which is so often associated with this day is the god of desire, affection and erotic love. More lust.

So, you may ask...where does the name Valentine come from? around the third century A.D. the Gnostic Catholic Church began to get a foothold in Rome and they became known as Valentinians. The Catholic
Valentinians retained the sexual license of their festival in what they now called “angels in a nuptial chamber” which was also called the “sacrament of copulation”. This was supposed to be a reenactment of the marriage of “Sophia and the Redeemer”. As the participants of the February 14th ritual started their sexual "sacrament" it was presided over and watched by the priests known as Valentinians. Voyeurs would have been more appropriate. The following "prayer" was spoken: “Let the seed of light descend into thy bridal chamber, receive the bridegroom… open thine arms to embrace him. Behold, grace has descended upon thee.”
Irenaeus wrote that both John and Polycarp strongly renounced these Gnostic heretics:

Valentinus came to Rome in the time of Hyginus, flourished under Pius and remained until Anicetus. Cerdon, too…Marcion, then, succeeding him flourished under Anicetus.

But Polycarp was also not only instructed by the apostles and conversed with many who had seen Christ, but was also, by apostles in Asia, appointed bishop of the Church in Smyrna…always taught the things which he had learned from the apostles, and which the Church has handed down, and which alone are true. To these things all the Asiatic Churches testify, as do also those men who have succeeded Polycarp down to the present time -- a man who was of much greater weight, and a more stedfast witness of truth, than Valentinus, and Marcion, and the rest of the heretics. He it was who, coming to Rome in the time of Anicetus caused many to turn away from the aforesaid heretics to the Church of God, proclaiming that he had received this one and sole truth from the apostles... John, the disciple of the Lord…exclaiming, "Let us fly, lest even the
bath-house fall down, because Cerinthus, the enemy of the truth, is within." And Polycarp himself replied to Marcion, who met him on one occasion, and said, "Dost thou know me?" "I do know thee, the first-born of Satan."
(Irenaeus. Adversus Haeres. Book III, Chapter 4, Verse 3 and Chapter 3,
Verse 4).

Notice that Polycarp condemned Valentinus at that time and that there is no indication that any of the Roman Catholic leaders did this prior to Polycarp's visit. Not surprising at all. It should also be noted here that Polycarp strongly objected to Roman Bishop Anicetus at this time for changing the date of Passover based upon tradition. What Irenaeus failed to mention is that even after this, Valentius was still
in somewhat good graces with the Roman Catholic Church until decades later.

Here is what Tertullian wrote:
Where was Valentinus then, the disciple of Platonism? For it is evident that those men lived not so long ago,—in the reign of Antoninus for the most part,—and that they at first were believers in the doctrine of the Catholic Church, in the church of Rome under the episcopate of the blessed Eleutherus, until on account of their ever restless curiosity, with which they even infected the brethren, they were more than once expelled (Tertullian. The Prescription against Heretics, Chapter 30. Translated by Peter Holmes.

As time went on, the Orthodox Church suppressed the Gnostic Catholics and manufactured “St. Valentine”, whose day continues to be celebrated in these modern times.

It should go without saying that we Christians should avoid Valentine’s Day like a plague because in God’s eyes it is still “Lupercalia” or the “Day Of The Wolf.” Men have been called wolves especially as they carry on the Satanic rituals of fornication...which is sexual intercourse without marriage. You have heard
of the “wolf whistle” and I am sure that you are aware that wolves do not whistle. It is the lustful men and women who carry on this Satanic blasphemy to this very day.

Something to be wary of is the Valentinians relied on tradition instead of the Bible:

1. Such, then, is their system, which neither the prophets announced, or the Lord taught, nor the apostles delivered, but of which they boast that beyond all others they have a perfect knowledge. They gather their
views from other sources than the Scriptures; and, to use a common proverb, they strive to weave ropes of sand, while they endeavour to adapt with an air of probability to their own peculiar assertions the parables of the Lord,  the sayings of the prophets, and the words of the apostles, in order that their scheme may not seem altogether without support. In doing so, however, they disregard the order and the connection of the Scriptures, and so far as in them lies, dismember and destroy the truth. By transferring passages, and
dressing them up anew, and making one thing out of another, they succeed in  deluding many through their wicked art in adapting the oracles of the Lord to their opinions (Irenaeus. Adversus Haeres. Book 1, Chapter 8, Verse 1).

This is why it is so important to follow no man and his teachings but to instead do the research for yourself and seek out the truth using the Holy Spirit and scripture as your teachers and guides. Traditions and teachings of men always fall short...way short of correct or right thinking. Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed  by the renewing of your mind…”

Matt 15:7 - "Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8 `These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with [their] lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' "

Eleutherus did not become bishop of Rome until 174, thus Valentinus' final departure from the Roman church did not occur before that date. (Irenaeus. Adversus Haeres. Book 1)

But Valentines day remains and many people celebrate it by giving gifts, cards, candy, going to dinner and even romantic evenings between couples...not realizing what they are taking part in. There are demons attached to each of these pagan days who gain power and glory each time they are celebrated. And each time they are celebrated you can be certain that Satan is before the throne of our Lord accusing us and mocking our heavenly Father. I beg you not to take this lightly. Or any other pagan holiday as well...such as Easter and Christmas.

Many say...that is not what it means now...the meaning has been changed. BUT THAT is NOT what God says:
Jeremiah 10:1-4 - Hear the word which Yahweh speaks to you, O house of Israel. 2 Thus says Yahweh: "Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers so that it will not topple.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 5 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Deut 12:29 - "When Yahweh your Elohim cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land,
30 "take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, `How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.'

31 "You shall not worship Yahweh your Elohim in that way; for every abomination to Yahweh which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. 32 "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

1 Corinthians 10:20 - Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to Elohim, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.

1Cor 10:21 - You cannot drink the cup of Yahweh and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of Yahweh's table and of the table of demons.

We cannot mix the profane with the holy, and we cannot mix lies with truth, and we cannot mix the table of Yahweh with the table of demons. We must choose one, or the other.

Which table will you choose?
