I have been wanting to write on this subject for awhile now because I also believe that the one world religion is going to be Islam and that will usher in the beast and false prophet. I came across this article and it was so well written with such good information that I decided re-printing this would be a good start to this topic.
However, I must warn that while the website that this person is referring to called "UNIVERSITY of EXCELLENCE" appears to be good with correct information....I recall seeing an ad for this months ago saying that they were non-denominational and were seeking to unify people who believe in God...but with no title as to what god they were referring to. Their emblem also has a New Age quality to it with three human figures of different color holding hands to form a triangle.
There are many groups out there being formed with the sole intent to find out who is Christian and where they are. Now I am not saying that this group is one of those but I am saying to use caution. What better way to find out who is who than with a website that is purposely against Islam.

Great confusion abounds among the fractured denominations of Christianity as to what we should be watching for as the end times unfold. I have long suspected that the prophesied Muslim Imam Mahdi, their awaited “12th Imam” would be the incarnation of the final Antichrist, or the final Son of Perdition. Right now I am reading Joel Richardson’s “The Islamic AntiChrist.” Although I do not savor the topic, [ Islam as the religion of the final Son of Perdition] it is necessarily one that I will return to frequently in 2012. I ask my readers to bear with me in this study. If we all pray with and for one an another as we seek wisdom, it will aid us in examining the material. I thank you for that. I am citing the entire page below which reveals important spiritual teaching from Prince Handley about what American Christians should watch for in the Mideast in coming months and years.
I want readers to hang onto this information, including re-sending it to others, printing it out in hard copy and archiving it to a CD. We really do not know how much longer we will have a free internet here in the States. The day may soon come when posts and essays that try to spread the truth are either suppressed or removed altogether by the FED. We’ve already seen alot of that take place in 2011.

NEW GLOBAL RELIGION
Several religions will flow together in the end times before the manifest revelation of the World Leader who will be selected by the New World Governance. The New World Leader will then select his pre-ordained Satanic head of the New Global Religion: the False Prophet mentioned in the Holy Bible. Several groups (too numerous to mention) but characterized by the cults, the occult, New Age, false religions and other “orders” will appeal to a demonic allurement for the identification and recognition of the New World Leader (who will be the False Messiah, or the Anti-Christ mentioned in the Holy Bible).
For decades many have been followers of pseudo-manifest leaders such as the much advertised and marketed “Lord Maitreya” who supposedly will draw people to himself and on the day of presentation will declare publicly that he is the “Master of all Masters.” This is a pseudo “smoke screen” devised in the pit of Hell by none other than Satan, himself, to draw attention away from WHAT is really lurking back stage at this PRESENT time: the system of world domination by Islam.SIGNS OF THE TIMES CLUE #1 YOU WILL NOT KNOW WHEN THE REAL MESSIAH IS HERE.

Islam will likely be the catalyst which will bring about the New Global Governance, an amalgam of 10 region states. New Babylon will arise from this 10 nation compact and become the center of world commerce … AND THE CENTER OF THE NEW WORLD RELIGION … with the support and authorization of Turkey and the 10 region World Authority.
You will begin to see the loss of your right to privacy. Israel and the USA will be the key targets of this attack. Islamic terrorism will be the active agent to frighten people into wanting a one world governing body. The Koran instructs Muslims to kill non-Muslims, especially Jews and Chriatians. Muslim terrorism is now global. In exchange for being allowed to build her Temple, Israel will sign a peace treaty with the coming world leader: the anti-messiah.
Revelation Chapter 18 in the Brit Chadashah (the Hebrew New Covenant) shows that Babylon will be rebuilt in the last days (the coming end times) as a powerful city and THE epicenter of world commerce; however, it will be filled with wickedness, a city that has become “the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit.” Babylon is destined for judgment. The Prophets Jeremiah (Chapters 50 and 51) and Isaiah (Chapter 47) each describe the catastrophic destruction that will befall this ancient city. The result of this final devastation will leave it uninhabitable; even the building materials will never be reused.
PROPHETICAL IMPORTANCE OF THE WAR IN IRAQ
Right now, Iraq plays a key piece, not only in the Middle East, but in the prophetic puzzle (and the timeline) of the world.
Men wage war, but God wages eternal justice. The real reason behind the war in Iraq – unknown to men – is for clearing the way to rebuild Babylon: NEW BABYLON.
Babylon, in the land of Shinar, was the headquarters of the first world autocrat. His name was “Nimrod.” Scripture, in the original Hebrew language, and also supported by rabbis, shows that Nimrod was “a mighty hunter against or in opposition to the LORD.”
Just as Babylon was the headquarters for the first world dictator, so the NEW BABYLON will be the headquarters of the FINAL world dictator, a despot and worse than tyrant. He will be chosen by the New World Order (or whatever name the organization ascribes to itself at that time). He will be the FALSE messiah and the greatest enemy that Israel and the Jewish People have ever known.
Babylon, in Iraq, lies 85 km or 55 miles south of Baghdad. People, even Bible scholars, confuse the Fall of Babylon with the Destruction of Babylon.
The Fall of Babylon happened in 539 B.C. The Persian king Cyrus, who captured the Medes in 549 B.C., took Babylon in 539 B.C. and Darius the Mede was his vassal-king. Babylon was taken over with military genius when the Euphrates River was re-routed so that the level of the moat system around the city was lowered, allowing the army of Cyrus to enter the city.
NOTICE: Josephus records that 12 days later Daniel presented Cyrus with a scroll (see Isaiah 44:28 and Isaiah 45:1-13) written 150 years earlier showing that God named Cyrus as the one who would release the Jews from the Babylonian exile to return to Jerusalem. Thus ending the 70 year captivity prophesied ahead of time by Jeremiah the Prophet.
“And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.Babylon was NOT destroyed. It became the second capital of Persia. Then, 200 years later it was Alexander the Great’s capital. Through the years it has been withered but NOT destroyed with the kind of destruction the Bible foretells.
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says Jehovah, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever.” (The Hebrew word “chorbah” here used for “desolation” means “drought.” In other words, “desert.”) — Jeremiah 25:11-12
NOTICE: Isaiah Chapters 13 and 14 – AND – Jeremiah Chapters 50 and 51 state that Babylon will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah. This has never happened. This is a FUTURE prophecy.
In context it shows that Israel is back in the land redeemed from the nations with, also, the goyim (strangers or gentiles). It withered, but was never the recipient of destruction as prophesied. Even in the late 19th Century there were people living there. Sadam Hussein, over a period of 20 years, spent $60 million in rebuilding Babylon.
THEREFORE: Babylon must be rebuilt, flourishing again as New Babylon, before it can be destroyed as Sodom and Gomorrah.
A 12 POINT PROPHECY
1 – BABYLON IN IRAQ WILL BE REBUILT BY THE AUTHORITY OF A GROUP OF NATION STATES (PROBABLY 10 REGIONS) AND THEN BECOME HEADQUARTERS FOR THE NEW WORLD ORDER.
2 – BABYLON WILL BE THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE OF TRADE (BOTH LEGAL AND ILLEGAL).
3 – THE NEW BABYLON WILL BE THE INTERNATIONAL LOCUS OF DRUGS, PORNOGRAPHY, AND WITCHCRAFT.
4 – THE NEW BABYLON WILL BE THE CENTRE OF NEW (ONE WORLD) RELIGION.
5 – THE 10 REGION GOVERNMENTAL MANDATE THAT ORIGINALLY GRANTS NEW BABYLON HER AUTHORITY AS A WORLD CENTER OF TRADE WILL ALSO ESTABLISH BABYLON AS THE HEAD OF GOVERNMENTAL RELIGION.
6 – THE AUTHORIZED ONE WORLD RELIGION WILL HAVE SUB-POWERS UNDER THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE FALSE PROPHET (WHO WILL BE APPOINTED BY THE LEADER OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER) SUCH AS THE AUTHORITY TO EXECUTE JEWS AND (REAL) CHRISTIANS … AND,
7 – TO EXECUTE BY DECAPITATION THOSE WHO DO NOT TAKE THE IDENTIFICATION MARK (THE NAME, NUMBER, OR NUMBER OF THE NAME) OF THE WORLD LEADER (THE LEADER DESIGNATED BY THE CONFEDERACY OF NATION STATE REGIONS).
8 – NEW BABYLON WILL JUXTAPOSE HERSELF WITH JERUSALEM.
9 – BABYLON WILL EVENTUALLY BE DESTROYED BY THE GROUP OF NATION STATES (PROBABLY 10 REGIONS WHICH EVOLVE OUT OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER) WHICH ORIGINALLY GAVE THE AUTHORITY FOR NEW BABYLON TO BE THE EPICENTER OF TRADE AND RELIGION.
10 – THIS SAME GROUP OF NATION STATES AND OTHERS WILL ATTACK ISRAEL.
11 – MESSIAH WILL DESTROY THE GROUP OF NATION STATES WHO ATTACK ISRAEL.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
12 – THE MESSIANIC KINGDOM WILL BE ESTABLISHED AND MESSIAH YESHUA WILL RULE IN PEACE FROM JERUSALEM.
A world leader who is fatally wounded in the head AND whose deadly wound is healed. (He will be the one the New World Order will choose as their leader.) He will be the FALSE messiah.Turkey will either be selected as a member of the EU – OR – will turn to the Islamic East for affiliation in worldwide commerce and trade.
The United Nations may move their headquarters to (New) Babylon.
China will surpass Russia and the USA in nuclear proliferation and become part of the military triumvirate of the East.
