THE DEVICES OF SATAN By Jerry Healan

The Apostle Peter warned, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, " 1 Per 5:8. To be sober means to be discreet, while to be vigilant means to keep awake and watch. Are you employing these tactics in your life or have you gone to sleep and has Satan gotten the advantage over you? This treatise is prepared for you to examine yourself to see whether you have fallen victim to Satan or not.

An interesting statement is made in Rev. 12.9, "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Isn't it amazing that the very first book of the Bible (Genesis) begins with the deception of the woman in the Garden of Eden, and when we get to the very last book of the Bible, (Revelation) deception is still going on? Shouldn't this tell us something about the serpent, Satan? Shouldn't this warn us that something is extremely wrong and that we should take another look at things? Is it always the other religions, the other faiths that are in error while your own faith is the one true faith?

I was a member of a church some years ago, comprised of people who believed they made up the one true church that alone had the truth, the inside track to salvation and to the Kingdom. Why does anyone choose to be a member of a certain church or faith? Isn't it usually because they believe that they have the keys to salvation and the Kingdom? Surely no one attends a church believing that they are deceived and do not have salvation in that way of life and faith which they embrace in that congregation or group of congregations. Surely they believe that their church or study group has an inside track on salvation, or they wouldn't be attending there.

One man used to quote, "A deceived person doesn't know that he is deceived." Isn't that true? A deceived person may eventually find out that he has been deceived, but during the time that he is deceived, he doesn't know that he is. The Apostle Paul encouraged, "Put on the whole armour of Yahweh, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil," Eph. 6.11 Paul also wrote, "To whom you forgive anything, I forgive also: for if I forgave anything, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of the Messiah, lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices," 2 Cor. 2 10-11

THE MEANINGS OF WORDS AND NAMES

Words and names have meanings that we sometimes overlook or have a tendency to misunderstand in their overall scope and concept. This is especially true concerning the Scriptures. It would be very instructive to take the descriptive words concerning Satan the devil and look at them under a magnifying glass, which would certainly increase our scope of understanding.

The word "wiles" in Eph 6:11 has been translated from the Greek word "methodia." It is #3180 in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance (Greek Dictionary). Its meaning is given as: traveling over, i.e. travesty (trickery). It is also translated as "lie in wait." "Travesty" means: 1. a grotesque or farcical imitation for purposes of ridicule, burlesque, and 2. a crude, distorted, or ridiculous representation (of something), (Webster's New World Dictionary). Notice also that the word "wiles" has to do with "trickery." Webster's New World Dictionary defines "wiles" as: 1. a sly trick; deceitful artifice; stratagem, 2. a beguiling or coquettish trick, and 3. craftiness, guile. Do you see what we can already learn about Satan just by researching one word "wiles" and its various meanings? His character misrepresents that which is good and pure with ridicule, burlesque, a crude, distorted or ridiculous representation. How does he do it? He does it through sly tricks, deceitful artifices and stratagems, beguiling or coquettish tricks, craftiness and guile.

What does "coquettish" mean? Coquet, 1. to behave as a coquet, flirt 2. to trifle or daily....Coquette, a girl or woman who merely from vanity tries to get men's attention and admiration; flirt. (Webster's New Word Dictionary) A harlot is a coquette, isn't she? Doesn't Scripture reveal that there is a great harlot who sits on many waters? (Rev. 17:1) This great whore has caused the whole world to wonder at the beast (v. 8). Scripture says that she has committed fornication with the kings of the earth and has made the inhabiters of the earth drunk with the wine of her fornication (v. 2). Here is a spiritual application of the word "coquette."

Let's look at one more word associated with "coquette" which is the word "trifle." Trifle's etymology is given thusly, n. [ME. < OFr. trufle, mockery, dim. of truffe, deception] 1. something of little value or importance, trivial thing, idea, etc., paltry matter. (ibid) Now how would "trifle" apply spiritually? Could it be that Satan causes us to focus on trifling things and make them into the "more important things" in our mind? While, on the other hand, the important things are made to appear as "trifling" to us?
Now let's focus on the word "devices" found in 2 Cor. 2:11. "Devices" comes from the Greek word noema, which means a perception, i.e. purpose, or (by impl.) the intellect, disposition, etc. It is #3540 in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. It is also translated into our English as mind or thought. It comes from #3539 "noieo" which means, to exercise the mind (observe), i.e. (fig.) to comprehend and heed. "Noieo" is variously translated as consider, perceive, think, and understand.

THE GARDEN OF EDEN

Now let's apply this to the scenario presented to us in the Scriptures concerning the incident in the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve were "naked" and not ashamed (Gen 2:25). But when they ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their eyes were opened and they knew that they were naked (Gen. 3:6-7). What was wrong with them being naked? They were the only two humans around. When Yahweh made them, He made them naked and allowed them to continue in their nakedness Scripture says, after the whole creation was completed, it was very good (2:31), so there, was nothing wrong with that nakedness Yet, when they took of the fruit, they knew (perceived) their nakedness and made aprons of fig leaves in order to cover themselves (3:7).

However, when Yahweh came walking in the garden in the cool of the day, they ran and hid. Why? Adam said, "I heard Your voice in the garden and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself," Gen. 3:11. How is it that he still considered himself naked? Didn't he cover himself with fig leaves? His physical nakedness was covered, but his statement revealed that his nakedness now went further than skin deep. His nakedness now was a concept developed in the mind, the intellect, the perception (noema/noieo).

What had the serpent done? Hadn't he used trickery, a stratagem, a coquettish trick to deceive the woman into taking the forbidden fruit? There were two trees in the midst of the garden--the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (which represented corruption, sin, death, vanity). Which is better to choose, life or death? Life should be full of movement, awareness, stability, strength, production, enjoyment, even pleasure. But death is full of darkness, chaos, confusion, failure of strength, failure of freedom of movement, cessation of life, etc. Life is the choice of reality. Life is the choice of wisdom and understanding. Death is a trifle compared to life. Death is empty, vain, uselessness, nothingness.

The serpent employed a coquettish, trifling trick to beguile the woman into taking the fruit of emptiness, vanity, grief, suffering and death. Yes, the serpent utilized a coquettish trick to parade the tree of the knowledge of good and evil before the woman. He made vanity (a trifling thing) to appear as if it were wonderful and the thing to be desired to make one wise. We shall find out just how he did it.

THE SUBTLE SERPENT

Scripture says, "Now the serpent was more SUBTLE than any beast of the field which Yahweh Elohim had made," Gen. 3:1. The word "subtle" is #6175 in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Its definition is given as, ‛aruwm, pass. part of 6191; cunning (usually in a bad sense):-crafty, prudent, subtle. #6191 = ‛aram, a prim. root, prop. to be (or make) bare; but used only in the der. sense (through the idea perh. of smoothness) to be cunning (usually in a bad sense):- x very, beware, take crafty [counsel], be prudent, deal subtly.

One of the interesting things about this is that when Scriptures say of Adam and Eve, "And they were both NAKED, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed," (Gen. 2:25), the word "naked" comes from the same root word #6191 ‛aram. The word to describe Adam and Eve's nakedness is #6174 in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance which is defined as, ‛arowm; from 6191 (in its orig. sense), nude, either partially or totally:-naked.

E. W. Bullinger comments about this: "They were both naked (`arum), the man and his wife, and [knowing only good, 2.17] were not ashamed [before G-d]. But the Nachash was more wise (`arum) than any living being of the field which J-hovah Elohim had made, and [knowing evil, and not ashamed (2.25) to question the truth of G-d's word] he said unto the woman..." Adam and Eve, in their original nakedness, were good; and knowing no evil, they were not ashamed of their nakedness. The serpent was more naked, in a spiritual sense, because he knew evil and was not ashamed of it, but rather relished it. He wasn't even afraid of or ashamed of contradicting Yahweh's word. This explains how Adam and Eve could have had their nakedness covered with fig leaves, yet still considered themselves naked before Yahweh. That nakedness became a spiritual condition of the mind rather than the outer physical nakedness of the body.

Webster's New World Dictionary defines "subtil or subtle" as, 1. thin; rare; tenuous; not dense or heavy [a subtle gas] 2. a) capable of making or noticing fine distinctions in meaning, etc. [a subtle thinker] b) marked by or requiring mental keenness [subtle reasoning] 3. delicately skillful or clever, deft or ingenious [a subtle filigree] 4. not open or direct, crafty; sly 5. delicately suggestive, not grossly obvious [a subtle hint] 6. working insidiously, not easily detected /a subtle poison].

Satan the serpent is insidious. He is very skillful, deft, clever and sly. He is a subtle thinker who is able to make or notice fine distinctions in meaning. Let's take, for example, what he said to the woman, "Yea, hath Elohim said, `You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?' And the woman said unto the serpent, `We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the gar-den: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Elohim hath said, 'Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.' And the serpent said to the woman, `You shall not surely die: for Elohim does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as Elohim, knowing good and evil."' Gen. 3:1-5.

CONTRADICTION

Notice the tactic, the device of the serpent, which was employed here. First, he begins with a question, and then contradicts or denies the very words of Yahweh, the Creator. Jude warns, "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints," v. 3. Jude is writing to the New Testament assembly. He is warning them (us) that we need to earnestly contend for the ORIGINAL FAITH. What was wrong? What had happened?

"For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, impious men, turning (can also be translated as "perverting") the grace of our Elohim into lasciviousness, and denying (can also be translated as "contradicting") the only Sovereign Yahweh, and our Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah," v. 4. These are the tactics of the serpent, Satan, "to pervert, corrupt, twist, deny and contradict." He did that to deceive the first woman, Eve, and he has done that to also deceive the bride of the Messiah.

The Apostle Paul warns, "Would to Elohim you could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with pious jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to the Messiah. But I fear, lest by any means, AS THE SERPENT BEGUILED EVE THROUGH HIS SUBTILTY, SO YOUR MINDS SHOULD BE CORRUPTED FROM THE SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN THE MESSIAH," 2 Cor. 11:1-3.

The Apostle Peter also warned, "But there were false prophets also among the People, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying (contradicting) the Sovereign That bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of (blasphemed). And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not... Yahweh knows how to deliver the pious out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government.

Presumptuous are they, self-willed; they are not afraid to speak evil of (blaspheme) dignities (the glorious ones). Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before Yahweh. But these, as natural brute beasts made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of (blaspheme) the things that they understand not, and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguil-ing unstable souls; a heart they have exercised with covetous practices, cursed children; which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; but was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

These are wells without wa-ter, clouds that are carried with a tempest, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Sovereign and Savior, Yahshua the Messiah, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened to them according to the true proverb, `The dog is turned to his own vomit again' and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire," 2 Pet. 2:1-3, 9-22.

As the Apostle Paul writes, the New Testament Assembly is to be the bride of Yahshua, but warnings throughout the Scriptures reveal Yahweh's people are deceived time and time again to turn to corruption, emptiness and vanity. Yahshua, Jude, Peter, Paul and others warned the New Testament Assembly that deception and corruption would come to many, even among themselves. The subtle serpent would send his own emissaries to utilize subtle, coquettish tricks to lure the believers away from the truth, from eternal life to a life of vain pursuits and death. Believers today may think themselves covered, but when Yahshua returns, they will realize their error, as Adam and Eve did, and they will run and hide because of their nakedness.

THE NAME SATAN

At this point, we need to look into the meaning of the name of the perpetrator of deception and evil--Satan. Satan is a Hebrew word. Its meaning is described in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance #7854 of the Hebrew and Chaldee Dictionary: from 7853; an opponent; espec. (with the art. pref) Satan, the arch-enemy of good. It is also variously translated as adversary and withstand. #7853 is defined as: an, a prim. root, to attack, (fig.) accuse. It is variously translated as, (be an) adversary, resist. The meanings of this name reveal the very nature of Satan the Devil. He is the arch-enemy of everything that is good. He withstands and resists that which is good. He utilizes the tactics of accusations and attacks (whether true or false) to accomplish his means. He stands as an opponent and adversary against the Creator and His chosen people.

The first part of the name or word Satan also comes from another Hebrew word "set" (sayte). "Sat/set" [sayte] is #7846 in Strong's. It is defined as: from #7750; a departure from right, i.e. sin and is variously translated as revolter, that turns aside. Satan is the king of those who depart from that which is right, those who turn aside to sin. He is the great revolter or rebel. He is sin (the transgression of the law [1 Jn. 3:4]) personified.

"Sat/set" comes from #7750 which is the Hebrew word (soot), and is defined as: a primitive root; to detrude, i.e. (intrans. and fig.) become derelict (wrongly practice; namely, idolatry) and is usually translated as turn aside to (emphasis mine).

Satan is also called a serpent. One of the Hebrew words for serpent is "tan". "Tan" is #8565 in Strong's and is defined as: an unused root prob. mean. to elongate; a monster (as preternaturally formed), i.e. a sea-serpent (or other huge marine animal); also a jackal (or other hideous land animal) also being variously translated as dragon, or whale.

One of the first things that comes to mind concerning the definition as a "sea-serpent" is the "leviathan." Yahweh prophesies, "In that day, Yahweh with His sore and great and strong sword, shall punish leviathan, the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea," Isa. 27:1. "Leviathan" is #3882 in Strong's. It is defined as: from 3867; a wreathed animal, i.e. a serpent (espec. the crocodile or some other large sea-monster); fig. the constellation of the dragon; also as a symbol of Bab. It is also translated as "mourning." #3867 is the Hebrew word "lavah"; a prim. root; prop. to twine, i.e. (by impl.) to unite, to remain, also to borrow ( as a form of obligation) or (caus.) to lend. It is variously translated as: abide with, borrow (-er), cleave, join (self), lend (-er). This accounts for the first part of the word "leviathan" which is "levia", but it leaves the last part ("than") unmentioned. It is made up of the same Hebrew characters as "tan", namely,

(nt). It is important to keep this in mind as we continue on with the descriptions of Satan. The word "leviathan" would carry the important meaning of the sea-serpent (tan/than) that joins or unites (lavah/levia) with something. Satan is the leviathan. He is the serpent that unites one with the wrong practices of idolatry. This produces a nakedness that is beyond the natural physical nakedness in which Adam and Eve were created. It is a spiritual nakedness introduced by the serpent Satan to cause one to wrongly practice, namely IDOLATRY.

THE GOLDEN CALF

Upon Israel's deliverance out of Egypt, they were brought to the foot of Mt. Sinai where Yahweh proposed to make a covenant with the people if they would promise to obey Him (Ex. 19:1-8). After personally delivering His commandments, statutes and ordinances (Ex. 20-23), the people promised that they would obey all the words that Yahweh had spoken (Ex. 24:3-8). Moses was called up into the mount in the midst of the cloud where Yahweh further instructed him concerning the building of a tabernacle, the establishment of the Aaronic priesthood and certain rituals that were to be performed (Ex. 24:18, and chapters 25-31). While Moses was in the mount, the people began to lose faith, questioning where Moses was and expressing doubt as to whether Moses would even come back (Ex. 32:1). They besought Aaron to make them mighty ones (elohim) to go before them. Aaron had them break off the golden earrings, etc., fashioning a golden calf from the jewelry. He built an altar for it, proclaimed a feast, offered offerings to it and the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play (Ex. 32:1-6).

Israel had just been delivered out of Egypt where the Pharaoh had been worshiped as the incarnate son of g-d. He was represented by the apis calf or bull. All of the pagan idolatrous nations represented their g-ds or elohim as a form of a calf or bull. Israel had quickly turned to idolatry. When Moses came down to the camp, he and Joshua (Yahshua), the son of Nun, heard the noise of the partying and saw the idolatrous abomination to which Israel had turned (Ex. 32:15-19). Moses angrily cast the tablets of stone, wherein Yahweh had written His commandments, breaking them to pieces. He took the golden calf, burned it with fire, ground it to powder and cast it into Israel's water mak-ing them drink thereof (Ex. 32:19-20).

Ex 32:25 says, "And when Moses saw that the People were NAKED; (for Aaron had made them NAKED unto shame among their enemies:)..." The people had quickly "turned aside," "turned out of the way," "become derelict in their duty," "wrongly practiced, namely idolatry" becoming NAKED, not only physically, but in a spiritual manner. This is after the manner of Satan. Satan causes a deep, intense NAKEDNESS that goes further than skin deep. It is a SUBTLE NAKEDNESS that is of the spirit. One can be physically clothed as Adam and Eve had clothed themselves with the fig leaves. As long as it remains physical to the eyes of man, it appears as if the nakedness is covered. But there is a subtle nakedness that is associated with the mind that does not become apparent until Yahweh discloses Himself. Then the nakedness appears because it is spiritual in nature.

THE SPIRITUAL NAKEDNESS

E. W. Bullinger makes a comment concerning Ex. 32:1 which says, "And when the People saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the People gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, `Up, make us elohim (g-ds), which shall go before us, for as for this Moses, the man that brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him." Bullinger comments:

"...make us g-ds. The great sin of today (1 Cor. 10.7, 11), made now not of materials, but made by imagination, and worshiped by the senses." (The Companion Bible, p. 34). Bullinger is referring to the writings of Paul who warned, "Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, `The People sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play'... Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come," 1 Cor. 10:7, 11. Bullinger had tremendous insight when he stated that the great sin of today was that the idols were not now necessarily made of materials, but MADE BY IMAGINATION. How could Satan deceive the New Testament assembly so easily that it could not be detected? He could do it through his subtlety, intellect and through the use of skillful mental keenness which notices fine distinctions in meaning (see the definition for the word "subtle" again). Paul also warned, "Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted" (1 Cor. 10:6). What happened to Israel was a warning to us. It was a situation of examples or ensamples (Gk.=tupos=types) for those of us upon whom the end of the age has come.

YAH'S KODESH DAYS

Has Yah indeed set aside certain times during the year to be called kodesh? If such times were established by Him, does man have the right to ignore their observance? Or should man not rather obey, to the best of his ability and understanding, all of Yah's commands? Yahshua said,

“...Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of Yahweh.” (Matthew 4:4)

Recently we have been given literature that attacks those who keep Yahweh's feast days. This writing will attempt to answer some of the objections raised by that writer and others who, because of denominational teaching, have not honestly represented those who are observing the feast days of Yahweh.

Those who oppose keeping the kodesh days are not necessarily being intentionally malicious. We feel their bias just holds them to a contrary opinion and they mean well. However, when any man teaches others not to obey what they perceive to be the complete will of Yahweh, he will have to answer to a higher judge.

Therefore, this booklet is not to sit in judgment of those who dis-agree with our position, but to teach the will of Yahweh on this subject, and why we believe it to be His will for the Assembly to observe the kodesh days as prescribed in His inspired Word.

MEANING OF “HOLY”

The word “holy” comes from the Hebrew word “kah-dash,” and means to be pure, clean, consecrated, and sacred. It further means “to be separated from the profane.” This word is used very early in your Bible when Yahweh separated the Sabbath day from the other days of the week (Genesis 2:3). The English Bible (KJV) translates “kah-dash” as “sanctified” here, labeling the Sabbath day as sanctified time or holy time.

Later when speaking of the Sabbath day, Yahweh said,

“Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy [kah-dash] convocation…” (Leviticus 23:3)

Here the Bible commands the people to be a kodesh convocation or a kodesh gathering. In other words, they were to be separated for wor-ship at certain times. This same chapter of the Bible lists Yahweh's annual feasts to be times for kodesh gatherings.

Yahweh commanded both the weekly and the annual Sabbaths to be kept by Israel. This has caused some people to conclude that these days are only for Israel, but a closer look will reveal how Yahweh refers to them as His feasts rather than Israel‟s feasts.

“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yahweh, which ye shall proclaim to be holy [kah-dash] convocations, even these are My feasts.”
(Leviticus 23:2) [Emphasis ours.]

Only Yahweh has the authority to command something to be “kodesh” and make it such. Men have called pictures kodesh, certain days holidays, etc., but Yahweh does not recognize them to be really kodesh unless He establishes them so. Likewise, He is the only one who has the authority to repeal what He has made kodesh and, thenceforth recognize it as profane.

Yahweh has never canceled His kodesh days. When they were announced to Israel, He specifically said,

“...it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwell-ings…” (Leviticus 23:14) [Emphasis ours]

We will address the word “forever” later in this writing; it means just what it says--forever.

TESTAMENT

Does the New Testament cancel Yahweh‟s weekly and annual Sabbath? Some people will state that Paul does so in Colossians. Let‟s take a closer look.

“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an kodesh day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Messiah.” (Colossians 2:16-17) [Emphasis ours.]

“If your Bible has a center column reference, notice the footnote preceding the words “in meat, or in drink.”

It reads in the Cambridge edition of the KJV “for eating and drinking.” This makes it clearer whether Paul is saying we are not to let others judge us: 1) for not eating and drinking and observing kodesh days and Sabbaths or, 2) for observing them. The better translation will make it clear they were not to be judged for keeping the kodesh days and Sabbaths.

Further, notice the verb “are” in the previous quotation. The obvious understanding is that these kodesh days and Sabbaths are still being recognized by the apostolic assembly. Had they been repealed by Paul‟s words, he would have used a verb of the past tense such as “were.” If Paul had said the kodesh days and Sabbaths “were a shadow of things to come;…” a case might be made from this text that Yahweh had re-scinded kodesh day observance, but just the opposite is what the text is clearly saying. These days are still in effect and are a shadow of things to come. If the text could be used to prove the annual kodesh days are done away, it would at the same time prove the weekly Sabbath day is rescinded as well. The weekly and annual Sabbaths either stand or fall together in this verse.

Some will then turn to Paul‟s writings to the Galatians in their effort to prove he saw the kodesh days as abolished.

“Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labor in vain.” (Galatians 4:10-11)

The question is this: Was Paul speaking of Yah‟s kodesh days or of pagan practices of the Gentiles?

First, it should be noted how the Bible refers to pagan worship in connection with certain “times.” See Deuteronomy 18:10, II Kings 21:6 and II Chronicles 33:6 for some examples.

Further, the word “times” in Paul's letter comes from the Greek word “kairos” and never refers to Yah‟s feast days. The 27 times where Yah‟s feast days are referred to in the New Testament, the Greek word is always „heorte.” Not one time does the Greek word “kairos” refer to Yah‟s kodesh days. Also the verse in question does not contain the word “sabbath”. It merely says “days.”

Second, we want to be aware of the cultural background of the Ga-latian assembly. Reading the second chapter of this book will reveal that it was written to Gentiles. These people, prior to their conversion, were pagan worshipers. They had been worshiping idols for gods. Consider what Paul wrote,

“Howbeit then, when ye knew not Yahweh, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye have known Yahweh, or rather are known of Yahweh, how turn ye again to the beggarly elements, where unto ye desire again to be in bondage?” (Galatians 4:8-9) [Emphasis ours]

When these Gentiles returned to the weak and beggarly elements, they were returning to pagan practices. Yah‟s kodesh days are not weak and beggarly elements to be associated with idol worship of heathen nations. The elements they had previously worshiped were the sun, moon, planets, and idols which were common objects of worship to the pagan culture of that day.

Members of Yahweh‟s assembly should always remember how Peter warned that Paul‟s writings included things hard to understand.

“And account that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be un-derstood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scrip-tures, unto their own destruction.” (II Peter 3:15-16) [Emphasis ours.]

A STATUTE FOREVER

The Hebrew word “olawm” has been translated in the KJV as, “forever, everlasting, perpetual, and eternal.” The Hebrew/English Inter-linear translation by Jay P. Green uses the words “neverending” for “olawm.”

A STATUTE FOREVER

Some argue that this term does not mean forever when used with the phrase “throughout your generations.” But the same persons agree that the Sabbath is a perpetual (olawm) covenant as stated in Exodus.

Their argument breaks down under close scrutiny.

“Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual [olawm] covenant.” (Exodus 31:16) [Emphasis ours.]

Likewise, when speaking of the kodesh days of Yahweh, Moses uses the same words four times in
Leviticus 23:14, 21,31, and 41: “It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.” Three times he includes the words, “in all your dwellings”. This is very important, for it shows they were to observe the feast days wherever they were, “in all your dwellings”, not just in the city where the temple was. However, the sacrifices were to be performed at the temple.

The prohibition against eating blood is also described as an eternal law.

“It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings…” (Leviticus 3:17)

Sacrificing to devils is condemned in similar words as well as drinking wine and strong drink in His sanctuary. See Leviticus 10:9 and 17:7. We understand these prohibitions to still be binding on righteous people today.

The phrase, forever throughout your generations‟ was an idiom used by Moses and in no way requalifies the meaning of the word “forever” (olawm) to mean other than perpetual, forever, or neverending. Those who insist otherwise show either their bias against keeping the feast days or their ignorance of the Hebrew language or both. We hope they will consider the issue and withdraw writings that demean those who want to obey Yahweh‟s Word.

THE KODESH DAYS PRECEDED
SACRIFICIAL LAW

Another misunderstanding regarding Yahweh‟s kodesh days is that they originated with the sacrificial laws. This is simply not true. The feasts of Yahweh were mentioned in the original covenant He made with Israel through Moses. The covenant included more than just the ten commandments. The ten commandments were spoken aloud directly from Yahweh. When the people became fearful, Yahweh gave the balance of His covenant with Israel through Moses. The words of Exodus chapters 20 through 23 were all a part of that covenant.

“And Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Yahweh hath said we will do.

And Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto Yahweh.” (Exodus 24:3-5) [Emphasis ours.]

It is important to know that this altar was not for sin offerings as was the altar of the sanctuary. It was constructed of stones of the earth, not wood covered with brass as Moses was instructed later for the sanc-tuary (Exodus 27:1-2). The specific purpose of the earthen altar was to seal, or ratify, the covenant and put it into force.

“And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, all that Yahweh has said will we do, and be obedient. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh hath made with you concerning all these words.” (Exodus 24:6-8) [Emphasis ours.]

This was the original covenant between Yahweh and the nation of Israel. It was a covenant of obedience, without temple sacrifices. Two sacrifices are mentioned therein, neither of which are to be construed as a part of the sanctuary service which was added later. Exodus 20:24-26 mentions an altar of earth, which was made and used to ratify the covenant as outlined above. The only other sacrifice was the paschal lamb to be sacrificed on the anniversary of Passover.

“Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.” (Exodus 23:18)

This is the same manner in which Yahweh had previously told them to keep the Passover before leaving Egypt.

Within the wording of this covenant (a covenant on righteous liv-ing) is the command to keep the three seasonal feasts of Yahweh.

“Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.” (Exodus 23:14)

The text goes on to show these to be: 1) the feast of Unleavened Bread, 2) the feast of harvest or sometimes called the feast of weeks (Pentecost), and 3) the feast of in gathering (Tabernacles).

It was only after this book of the covenant was read, agreed to by the people of Israel, and ratified by blood, that Yahweh gave the ten commandments in stone to Moses.

And after that He gave Moses the instruction for building the tabernacle where laws of sacrifices were to be added because He knew they would violate the covenant of obedience. The Old Covenant came in two parts, first the laws of obedience, then later the laws of sacrifices because of disobedience.

This point is further emphasized in the writings of the prophets.

“For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying obey My voice…” (Jeremiah 7:22- 23)

It is true that special sacrifices were later added to kodesh days. Space does not permit enumeration of all these many sacrifices but they are all listed in the book of Numbers, chapters 28 and 29. What some fail to acknowledge, however, is that the weekly Sabbath also had spe-cial sacrifices added to it as did the annual feast days.

“And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: This is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.” (Numbers 28:9-10) [Emphasis ours.]

Sacrifices that were added later because of disobedience to the covenant neither validated nor invalidated annual kodesh days or weekly Sabbaths.

KODESH DAYS KEPT WHILE IN THE WILDERNESS

It has been dogmatically taught by some that the kodesh days of Yahweh were not observed in the wilderness, but were reserved for keeping only after entering the promised land with Joshua. This position seems to be supported by the statement,

“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye be come into the land which I give you and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest; the priest shall wave the sheaf…” (Leviticus 23:10-11) [Emphasis ours.]

A careful reading will reveal it is the harvesting and the waving of the first fruits that are to wait until entering the promised land, not the annual observance of the feast days. So far as this text reads, along with the whole chapter, the weekly Sabbaths and the annual kodesh days could have been kept in the wilderness. Remember, they did not harvest crops of barley and wheat during the wanderings in the wilderness. Rather, they ate manna as Yahweh provided. Hence, they had to wait until they entered the promised land to begin the ritual of the wave offerings of the barley first fruits.

This seems to be the actual fact when we consider that the feast days, as well as the weekly Sabbaths, were a part of the covenant the Is-raelites agreed to keep. When Moses, just before his death, pronounced the blessings upon the different tribes, he said of Levi,

“...for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.” (Deuteronomy 33:9) [Emphasis ours.]

On at least one occasion the record is quite clear that they kept the Passover in the wilderness.

“And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai according to all that Yahweh had commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.” (Numbers 9:5) [Emphasis ours.]

Since this was a part of the covenant, it would make sense that they observed the other feast days during that same time period prior to entering the promised land.

The absence of a record each time the Israelites observed the kodesh days is not proof they were not kept. Specific instances of keeping the feasts are rather rare in scripture in relation to the many thousands of times they were held throughout Israel‟s history.

It has been charged that any observance of the day of Atonement would be a denial of the atoning work of Messiah. This is as ridiculous as saying that people who observe their birthday are denying their own birth. Or that when we keep the Master‟s supper we are denying His death and resurrection. Rather than to be a denial of the atonement work of Messiah, keeping the day of Atonement emphasizes and me-morializes what was foreshadowed by the ancient ritual and how it was fulfilled in Messiah‟s ministry. It declares how helpless man is in trying to earn his own atonement relationship with Yahweh. It is only through the grace of Yahweh and through the true self-denial of Messiah, that Yahweh has provided our atonement.

NEW TESTAMENT FEAST DAYS

Did the Apostolic Assembly keep the feasts? We believe the pre-ponderance of evidence proves they did!

We should begin by exposing an erroneous idea that the feasts were only for the Jews. It has been claimed by some that since John called the Passover and other feasts, “feasts of the Jews,” this somehow excluded Gentile Believers. See John 5:1, 6:4, and 7:2.

John could hardly say they were the “feasts of the Gentiles,” for then he would have been including pagan festivals. Another term common in the New Testament is, “Yahshua...born King of the Jews” (Matthew 2:1-2).

This does not exclude His being King of those Gentiles who also believe in Him. Obviously, Yahshua is the Anointed King, established by the Father. He is just as much King of the Gentiles as He is King of the Jews. The same is true of Yahweh‟s appointed feast days. They are for all Yahweh‟s people.

About 25 or more years after Messiah died, Paul kept the feast of Pentecost.

“For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.” (Acts 20:16)

The question we should try to answer is this: Was Paul in Jerusalem for Pentecost just to preach to the unregenerate Jews or was he there to worship Yahweh? Let's not guess, as so many have done, for our biased attitude might mislead us into wrong conclusions not based on the facts.

In his defense before Felix, Paul fully explains why he had been in Jerusalem.

“Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship. And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city: Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.” (Acts 24:11-13) [Emphasis ours.]

Paul‟s testimony declares that his sole purpose for being in Jerusalem was to worship. If he had stopped there we might still wonder whether he also was preaching Messiah among the Jews as some have claimed. But he distinctly says, he was not disputing among the people in the city. Can we imagine him preaching Yahshua as the Messiah and not raising a dispute? Impossible during that time. He was there to ob-serve Pentecost in Jerusalem.

Speaking of the feast of Unleavened Bread, Paul adds a spiritual dimension to the term “leaven,” when he states he and the Corinthian believers are to keep the feast.

“Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (I Corinthians 5:7-8) [Emphasis ours.]

If Believers had not been keeping the sabbath days and feast days, surely the denunciation would have been loud and clear from the Jews. But of what do we find the Jews accusing the Believers? Not of ignoring the feasts that Yahweh had commanded them to keep. The accusation against the Believers was coming to Yahweh through Yahshua in-stead of first becoming a part of nationalistic Judaism, evidenced by circumcision of the flesh.

Historians agree that the first Believers (which were among the Jews) kept all the feast days. Some even insisted on the fleshly circumcision, hardly a point noteworthy for the historian had they all been Jews. Read what W. D. Davies, a specialist on early Christianity re-cords,

“Everywhere, especially in the east of the Roman Empire...they still observed the feasts of Passover and Tabernacles; they also continued to be circumcised, to keep the weekly Sabbath and Mosaic regulations concerning food.”

Other historians speak further,

“...the sect originated after the flight from Jerusalem, (70 A.D.), are characterized essentially by their tenacious attachment to Jewish observances...they became heretics in the eyes of the Mother Church they well represent, though Epiphanius is energetically refusing to admit it, the very direct descendants of the primitive community.” “They practice the custom and doctrines prescribed by the Jewish law, except that they believe in Christ "(From Sabbath to Sunday, by Samuele Bacchocchi.)

The kodesh days are mentioned in the New Testament only a few times after Messiah died. This causes some to presume they were not kept. However, we must keep in mind that in the Old Testament (an Israelite history of over 1,000 years), relatively few instances of kodesh day observances are recorded. Should we be surprised then when less than 70 years of Christian history fails to make more than a few references to them? If the Believers had been ignoring them, we believe specific charges would have been made against the assembly and be most evident in the Bible. The lack of such evidence argues for their observance by the early assembly.

FUTURE BLESSINGS

The Bible implies the feasts of Yahweh will be kept after Messiah returns to rule the earth. It specifically speaks of keeping the feast of Tabernacles in the writings of Zechariah.

“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations [not just the Jews] which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16) [Emphasis ours.]

Strange as it may seem, men living on the earth under Messiah‟s rule will still have the freedom to refuse keeping the kodesh days just as they do today. However they must suffer the consequences for their rebelliousness.

“And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith Yahweh will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:17-18)

If Yahweh says the feasts are going to be kept in the New Earth, why would men today refuse to observe them and receive His fuller blessings?

We urge people, as individuals, to study this issue and decide for themselves. No preacher or denominational leader should decide whether we as individuals can or should be keeping the feasts of Yahweh. If we are truly following Messiah, the Bible is our most sure guide. The blessings we receive will be proportionate to how we each obey what we understand to be His will, not the coercive teachings of denominations.

Both weekly and annual kodesh days were established prior to the sacrificial laws. Both are equally binding upon those who want to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of Yahweh. Only the sacrifices that were added later were superseded by the greater sacrifice of Messiah's blood.

REALITY OF THE KODESH DAYS

At this point, a brief summary of the kodesh days and their significance is in order.

In Israel, there were three major harvests of fruit of the land. Each harvest pictured a part of Yahweh's plan of salvation for mankind, the greater spiritual harvest of men's lives.

In the early spring, Abib 14, was Passover. The killing of the passover animal pictured the death of Messiah. “For even Messiah our pass-over is sacrificed for us…” (I Corinthians 5:7).

This was followed by the unleavened bread. During the week of Unleavened Bread, all leavening was put out of their homes. This pictured the casting out of sin. Believers today are reminded by this process how subtly sin encroaches in all our lives. Just when we think it is conquered, it reappears. This reminds us of our total need of Yahweh's forgiveness for the sin in our lives.

During the week of Unleavened Bread, the wave sheaf offering was made, which pictured the first of the first fruits of the resurrection from the dead, Yahshua Messiah.

The next feast was called the feast of weeks, which came seven weeks after the wave sheaf was offered. The New Testament calls this day Pentecost. Here the Kodesh Spirit was poured out to begin the New Testament assembly. This harvest which began shortly after the ascension of Messiah, does not end until He returns to catch away the saints and resurrect all who died in Him (I Corinthians 15:20-23).

His return in full kingdom power to rule the earth is pictured by the day of Trumpets. The last trumpet calls forth the dead in Messiah and announces Yahweh‟s war against evil, Armageddon.

Atonement was accomplished for mankind at Yahshua's death. The full benefits, however, will not be realized until after His return when we are most literally at one with Yahweh, ruling with Messiah. We observe this day in commemoration of His atoning sacrifice.

Then comes the 1,000 years of earthly rule which is typified by the feast of Tabernacles. (See Zechariah 14.)

Finally, the last great day will come, picturing the Great White Throne judgment.

May the Almighty who created all things bless each of us as we obey in observing His command to be a part of kodesh convocations at His appointed times.

1. FUTURISM VS. HISTORICISM

There are two great divisions of thought regarding people's view of prophecy: The
Futurist and the Historicist. Both teach that Messiah will return to earth, but the division
arises over the manner of His coming and its timing in relation to "the Tribulation."
Now some may say, what difference does it make HOW Messiah returns, so long as we
all believe that Messiah will indeed come? Is it really an important issue? How will our
viewpoint of prophecy affect our thoughts and actions in preparation for the return of
Messiah?

First of all, it should be established that our eternal destiny and salvation does not stand
or fall upon our belief in either viewpoint. However, our doctrines will determine our
courses of action and our basic attitudes and outlook on the world in general. Thus, the
issue is important to that degree.

The Historical view holds that the tribulation in the book of Revelation is almost
completely fulfilled, except for the final downfall of 'Mystery Babylon." The Futurist view
teaches that almost all of Revelations events have a future fulfillment

The Historicist teaches that the "Revived Roman Empire" prophesied by Daniel was
fulfilled in Papal Rome, and that the "great whore" now primarily rides the "scarlet
coloured beast" (Revelation 17:3) of Red Communism. The Futurist teaches that the
Revived Roman Empire is yet future, and it is often identified with the present-day
Common Market of Western Europe.

The Historicist notes that all through the centuries the Assembly has undergone
tribulation and persecution at the hands of Mystery Babylon, as it rides on various beast
empires and systems throughout the course of history. The average American Futurist
is confident that he will be removed from the earth before such tribulation arrives at his
own door step.

The Historicist, in his study of the world situation in this century, learns that communism,
the Red Beast, has murdered untold millions of Believers and other innocent victims
since 1917, probably more than have been slaughtered in all of past history. Many of
these were tortured and were forced to live a life worse than death. From his historical
perspective he reasons that such tribulation does not have to fall upon the American
assembly before it can be properly labeled "tribulation." Furthermore, if such terrible
tribulation has already fallen upon untold millions of Believers, how can we claim that
Yahweh will remove us from the earth before it comes to America.
So whereas our view of Bible prophecy does not affect our salvation, it does affect our
thinking, our outlook on the world scene, and it will have a great effect upon our
preparation for the return of Messiah.

On the other hand, the Futurist views the rise of Red Bolshevism with a strange curiosity. Since he believes that a future "anti-messiah" will arise as head of the revived
Roman Empire (i.e., the Common Market of Western Europe), he cannot identify this
Bolshevism with Bible prophecy, at least not directly. Instead, it has become common
teaching that the Anti-messiah's empire in the West will elect the Anti-messiah to rule
over them as a defense against Red Bolshevism.

Thus, the Historicist generally will do what he can to oppose Bolshevism and its child,
the Socialistic World Government. He is more aware of the nature of the conflict
between East and West, between Socialistic Communism and Christian Republicanism.
The Futurist, when confronted with the millions who have died agonizing deaths and
languish in slave camps, can only say, "Well, just wait until the Anti-messiah comes;
that will make Communism look like child's play!"

2. SAINTS IN TRIBULATION

The Futurist are fond of claiming that the various "beasts" spoken of in the book of
Revelation are representative of the "Anti-messiah" or his allies who will rule the world
during a future tribulation. However, the visions of Daniel clearly identify the beasts as
representing the various nations and systems of government that were to rise to power
from Daniel's day to the end of this age. In the seventh chapter of Daniel those four
Beasts are described as (1) a lion with eagle's wings, (2) a bear, (3) a leopard with four
heads and four wings, (4) an unidentified beast with iron teeth and great strength, and
(5) a "little horn" arising out of the previous beast.

Daniel beheld this "little horn" warring against the saints, and it "prevailed against them"
(Daniel 7:21) until the time came for the saints to take the Kingdom from him. There is
no hint that anyone will be able to escape to heaven before this "little horn" appears.
This is especially made plain in Daniel 7:25-27.

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the
saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be
given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume
and to destroy it unto the end.

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the
whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose
kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

This passage is usually explained to mean that the saints are the Jews, who will
supposedly be left on the earth during the great tribulation. However, Yahshua taught
that the Jews were not to inherit the Kingdom of Yahweh in Matthew 21:43-45.

43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of Yahweh shall be taken from you,
and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it
shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they
perceived that he spake of them.

Note especially that in speaking of the Kingdom of Yahweh, Yahshua called it "this
stone" in verse 44. He was referring to the great Stone Kingdom of Daniel 2:34, 35,
which is said to smash the image of the beast and break in pieces all of the empires it
represented. Yahshua said that this stone would grind to powder all on whomsoever it
shall fall. And it was to fall on the Jewish Pharisees, and by implication, all who followed
their anti-messiah religion.

Thus, it is not possible that the saints against whom the "little horn" wars should be the
Jews. They must be a Covenant keeping people.

The notion that Believers will not have to face the tribulation of this world is foreign to
the Scriptures. If a modem rapture-teaching preacher had lived in Rome 1800 years
ago, proclaiming that those persecuted Believers would escape tribulation, he would
have been dis-fellowshipped from the church as a deceiver, or he would have been
laughed out of the church for being a fool. In those days Believers were being
slaughtered just for sport.

The Red Beast of New World Order and Catholic Church is the modem vehicle that
carries the "great whore" of Mystery Babylon. The Believers behind the Iron Curtain do
not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. They-like the Christian martyrs of ancient Romesee
tribulation all around them. How odd it is that Believers living in the West would be
so near-sighted and so insensitive as to suppose that the tribulation could NOT have
arrived on the earth until it lands on American soil! Thank Yahweh the full force of evil
has not yet come upon this late great Christian Republic, but let us not forget our
persecuted brethren or think that Yahweh measures tribulation by its exclusive effect
upon American Believers.

3.WHERE IS THE KINGDOM OF YAHWEH?

A strange phenomena has appeared in the doctrinal position of thousands of today's
professing Christians. At one moment they speak of going to heaven in the rapture (or
when they die), where they say they will live FOREVER; but then in the next breath they
speak of Messiah coming to earth with His saints to rile all nations with a rod of iron
(Revelation 2:26,27).

This doctrinal schizophrenia is readily apparent to those who teach only one of the
above positions. However, there are literally millions who believe both to be true, in
spite of their inherent contradiction.

So we must examine the Scriptures to see where the Bible locates Yahweh's Kingdom
and where Messiah shall reign with His saints. Where is the inheritance of the believer?
Does the Bible promise heaven or earth as the eternal abode of the Believer?

If believers are to receive their inheritance in heaven, then the rapture would be a
logical method of ferrying them to their reward. If, however, our inheritance is on the
earth, then there would be no need for a rapture, except (as is supposed) to prevent us
from undergoing tribulation.

We have already seen that the Beast-systems were to make war against the saints here
on the earth. We also touched upon the great Stone Kingdom that was to smash the
other kingdoms and grind them to powder. This great Kingdom, the Kingdom of
Yahweh, "became a great mountain, and filled the whole EARTH" (Daniel 2:35).
Those who rule with Messiah in His Kingdom will be on earth as well, for we read in
Revelation 5:10, "and we shall reign on the earth." This is but a reflection of the Old
Testament Scripture. As far back as the days of Moses, this was the great hope of the
believers. Numbers 14:21 reads,

21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the YAHWEH.
Two other prophets took up the same themes.
See Isaiah 11:9 and Habakkuk 2:14 David's theme, repeated over and over in Psalm 37 was that "the meek shall inherit the earth." Yahshua verified His doctrine in His sermon on the mount, when He taught the people in Matthew 5:5,

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Yahshua viewed the earth with a great deal more respect than many Believers do
today. After all, He was the Creator of this earth (John 1:3), and thus His was the voice
which pronounced it "very good" (Genesis 1:31). It was Yahshua who inspired the
Psalmist to write Psalm 115:16

16 The heaven, even the heavens, are YAHWEH'S: but the earth hath he given
to the children of men.

When we learn to view Creation with the same love as does it Creator, we will not
despise Yahweh's good earth. Instead, out of love we will attempt to fulfill the first and
foremost responsibility that Yahweh gave to man: to subdue and have dominion
(authority under Yahweh) over the earth (Genesis 1:28), which is Yahshua's footstool
(Matthew 5:35). When Yahshua Messiah finally sets up His Divine Government on the
earth, and when true Believers rule with Him in the Kingdom, then the earth will indeed
become a paradise once again. It will be "heaven on earth," fit for habitation for Messiah
and His people.

4. MEETING YAHSHUA IN THE AIR

Perhaps the most well-known Bible passage known today in rapture-believing circles is
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17.

16 For Yahshua himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahweh: and the dead in Messiah shall
rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet Yahshua in the air. and so shall we ever be with Yahshua.

This passage teaches that Messiah shall return to the earth some day, and that the
resurrection of the dead in Messiah shall occur before the living believers are caught up
to meet Messiah in the air. BUT THERE IS NO MENTION OF ANYONE GOING TO
HEAVEN.

So the question is this: When the believers "meet Yahshua in the air," will they escort
Him back to earth to rule in His Kingdom, or will Messiah escort them back to heaven
for a time? In other words, shall we "ever be with Yahshua” in heaven or on earth?

The key to understanding this question is found in the verb, "to meet." The Greek word
used by Paul here is apantesis, and this particular word is loaded with meaning which
does not come forth in our English translation of the word. It is a word which was used
in ancient times to describe the actions of an official welcoming delegation that had
been sent "to meet" a visiting dignitary. Thus, it literally means, "meeting and returning
with."

It was customary back then (as it is today) that when a V.I.P. visits a city, the
leader of that city send out a delegation to welcome him and escort him to the mayor.
Thus, when the Queen of England visited President Ford during the American
Bicentennial, she was not expected to get off the plane and call a cab to take her to the
White House. No, she was met by a special committee that escorted her to the White
House.

Therefore, when Paul uses the term apantesis to describe our action in meeting
Messiah, he uses this particular term to show us that we are going to be sent TO
ESCORT MESSIAH BACK TO EARTH WHEN HE SETS UP HIS KINGDOM.
Those who find this information to be unbelievable may do further study on this Greek
word by noting how it is used in other Bible passages. The word is used in three other
New Testament passages:

(1)Matthew 25:1 and 6 speaks of the ten virgins, who "went forth TO MEET the
bridegroom." It was common practice in ancient times for the wedding parry to escort
the bridegroom to the bride after the marriage supper.

(2) John 12:13 speaks of Messiah's triumphal entry into Jerusalem (a prophetic type of
Messiah's second coming at which time He will truly have a triumphal entry). 1t says
that the people "took branches of palm trees and went forth TO MEET Him." Yahshua
certainly did not turn around and escort the people back to Bethany with Him! No, the
people escorted Yahshua to Jerusalem.

(3) Acts 28:15 speaks of Paul's journey to Rome as a prisoner. When the Believers heard that Paul was outside the city, "they came TO MEET us as far as Appii forum," which was about 43 miles from the city. They treated Paul like a Believer V.I.P., and Paul's heart was encouraged at their boldness to
be identified as Believer friends of his. Thus, we conclude that Paul was not teaching that Believers would return to heaven with Messiah, but rather that Believers would form Messiah's escort back to earth.

A few verses later (in chapter 5) Paul writes further about "the day of Yahshua."

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of Yahshua so cometh as a thief in
the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and Safety, then sudden destruction cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a
thief.

In reading this passage, most of us immediately picture Messiah coming as a burglar
and stealing something of value in secret. However, 2,000 years ago a "thief in the
night" usually meant something entirely different. It was common in those days for a
band of robbers to swoop down upon an unprotected and unsuspecting village in the
middle of the night, when the people were sleeping peacefully. The thieves would storm
into town, throw everyone out of bed, strip the village of all its valuables, and kill anyone
who resisted.

This is what Paul meant when he compared the return of Messiah to "a thief in the
night" While the world sleeps in "peace and safety," then will come "sudden destruction"
upon the wicked, "and they shall not escape." However, the Believers, who are "men"
on the walls, will not be taken by surprise. They will have prepared themselves for this
"sudden destruction" (called "tribulation), and thus they will not be harmed.
Amos 5:18 has this to say about that day:

18 Woe unto you that desire the day of Yahweh! To what end is it for you? The
day of Yahweh is darkness, and not light.

The prophet Joel echoes the same theme in Joel 1:15.

15 Alas, for the day! For the day of Yahweh is at hand, and as a destruction from
the Almighty shall it come.

Again, he describes the day in chapter 2, verses 1-2.

1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain; let all
the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of Yahweh cometh, for it is nigh at hand:

2 A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as
the morning spread upon the mountains; a great people and a strong, there hath
not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of
many generations.

The descriptions of this alien enemy invading the land fits perfectly the armies of Red
Communism today. Yahweh said that they would be "my great army which I sent among
you" (2:25) in order that the people might repent from their sins, call upon Yahweh for
divine intervention and protection, and that Yahshua would then come to save them.
For the vast majority of the people, including, sad to say, many professing Believers,
this day of Yahweh will come upon them unexpectedly. They will not have prepared
themselves spiritually, mentally, or physically for such times.

So let us strive to be as those to whom Paul wrote: 'But ye, brethren, are not in
darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."

Thus, we see that in I Thessalonians 4 and 5 Paul does NOT teach a pre-tribulation
rapture, but rather that when Yahshua comes, we will welcome I-Jim back to earth,
where He shall rile all nations in righteousness.

5. FOR HIS SAINTS AND WITH HIS SAINTS

It is common among rapture teachers to hear the theory that the Bible teaches two
separate comings of Messiah in the future-the first time FOR His saints, and the second
tine WITH His saints. In other words, the theory says that Messiah will only snatch the
Believers off the earth when they go out to "meet Him in the air," and then after a period
of either 3 1/2 or 7 years in heaven, Messiah will return to earth WITH those Believers.
This is not true. The Assembly will all stay here till the end of the tribulation when He
comes for them to include them in His final judgment.

This theory of a double coming is only partially based upon 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 18. It
is mostly based upon Jude 14 and 15, which reads:

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,
Behold, Yahweh cometh WITH ten thousands of His saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince (convict) all that are
unrighteous among them of all their unrighteous deeds which they have
committed, and of all their hand speech which unrighteous sinners have spoken
against Him.

Yahshua did come with ten thousand angels at Sinai, but these are not the saints that will come with Him to judge the world at the end time, at the last Trump, the last Feast
of Trumpets at the end of the three and one half years. Nor was Sinai the time when all
were judged. The coming at Sinai was to give the law, not to judge!

One must realize also, that in some scriptures saints represent angelic host (Deut 33:3), where in others like Jude, (Matt 27:52; acts 9:13; Rom 1:7) represents the believers or the very elect
that are in the first resurrection. This also includes the two witnesses that are called up
and are raised from the dead as they lay in the streets of Jerusalem. (Rev 11:3)

Now when Yahweh (Yahshua) descended upon Mount Sinai to give the Law to Israel,
did He come with ten thousand Believers? No! He came with angelic host, but the term
saints now means the ones that died in faith or were alive at His corning. These verses
14 and 15 are speaking of the judgment and Yahshua’s final victory over all His
enemies and to claim the earth as Ids throne, dwelling at Jerusalem. There is not two
coming as we hear the Sunday people say, but one.

One return at the end of the tribulation to take them up or meet Him in the clouds and escort Him back to finish the judgment. It can not be any other way. To start with, look at Revelations 1:7.

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also
which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even
so...

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall
other _ her his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other.

Again we see that He does come with angelic host, but also to gather His elect to Him
as He returns. And notice that it says after the tribulation this occurs. Nowhere does it
say that He comes twice, or even at the beginning. The Assembly is still an earth during
the tribulation! Remember, all scripture has to agree. And every fact is established by
two or more witnesses as we give you here. Now look at what happens to the Assembly
in the end time.

Revelation 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she
might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time and times
and half a time from the face of the serpent.

See that John is very specific. He says that she is in the wilderness, which can not be
heaven. And he says that she is there for the entire time of the tribulation, three and one
half years. If this is not enough, let us go to the book of Corinthians for a third witness.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eve, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be
changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on
immortality.

We have already seen that the dead are raised and given glorified bodies at His coming
Here it makes it clear that that coming is at the last trumpet of Revelation, at the end of the tribulation or three and one half years.

Now let us finally go to the first scripture that was mentioned, but was not discussed, l
Thessalonians 4:14-17

14 For if we believe that Yahshua died and rose again, even so them also which
sleep in Yahshua will Yahweh bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of Master, that we which are alive and
remain unto the coming of the Master shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For Yahshua himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahweh: and the dead in Messiah shall
rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet Yahshua in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Master.

What does this say? Yahshua will come at the last trumpet, and raise the elect and we
will be with them and meet Him at His coming What could be plainer than that. Notice
also that it says that they that sleep in Him shall be raised. This means two things. It
means that they died in faith keeping the commandments and whole covenant including
Saturday Sabbath, but they are in the ground sleeping, not in heaven as the Sunday
doctrines teach.

So in conclusion of this discussion of " FOR HIS SAINTS AND WITH HIS SAINTS" it is
a clear teaching of error to say that Yahshua comes twice. It is error to say that He
comes at the beginning or the middle of the tribulation. Even Yahweh, our father Himself
said in Psalms 110:1.

1 Yahweh said unto my Master, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make throe
enemies thy footstool.

This explains that Yahshua stays at the right hand of Yahweh as intercessor till He
comes to finish the judgment after His enemies are made Ids footstool. Any other
doctrine is not the doctrine of Messiah.

6. ONE SHALL BE TAKEN, THE OTHER LEFT

Matthew 24:37-42 is perhaps the second most popular Bible passage (other than 1
Thessalonians 4:17, 18) to teach the pre-tribulation rapture of the assembly. The
passage is a comparison between Messiah's second coming and the days of Noah
leading up to the flood. Yahshua said here:

37 But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood, they (THE WICKED) were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe
entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came and took them (THE WICKED) all away; so
shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one (THE WICKED) shall be taken, and the
other (THE BELIEVER) left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one (TIE WICKED) shall be
taken, and the other (THE BELIEVER) left.

As you noted in reading the above verses, the flood of Noah's time took the wicked
people away (off the earth). In the same manner, when Messiah returns, the coming of
the Son of man will see the wicked taken away, and the righteous will be left to inherit a
cleansed earth, AS DID NOAH.

Those who teach the opposite view, that the one "taken" is the believer and the one
"left" is the unbeliever, miss the fact that the plural pronoun "them" can only refer to all
the wicked people in verse 38. "Them" could hardly refer to Noah's family, because the
wording of the passage is such that Noah is referred to individually. It would have been
poor grammar to use a plural pronoun in reference to the singular noun, "Noah."

There is also the obvious fact that Noah was not removed from the earth, but was rather
preserved THROUGH the flood ("tribulation"). If Yahweh can protect His Covenant
people here on the earth as He did with Noah and his family, then why must we think
that Yahweh must remove Believers from the earth in a rapture in order to protect
them?

However, be that as it may, since there is some question involved in this passage as to
who was removed, let us allow Yahshua's other parables to interpret the meaning for
us. Do other passages teach a "taking away" (removal) of the Believers from the earth,
or do they teach the "taking away" of the wicked? In other words, do other Bible
passages teach the rapture of the assembly or the "rapture" of the wicked?

7. THE CLEANSING OF THE KINGDOM

The Scriptures are full of references to the wicked ones being removed from the earth,
so that the righteous may inherit a cleansed Kingdom. Solomon wrote in Proverbs:

1. The righteous shall NEVER BE REMOVED; but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
(Proverbs 10:30)

2. For the upright shall dwell in the land....But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth,
and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. (Proverbs 2:21, 22)

3. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
For Yahweh shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. (Proverbs 3:25, 26)

Isaiah also echoes this same theme in Isaiah 13:

9 Behold the day of Yahweh cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to
lay the land desolate; and HE SHALL DESTROY THE SINNERS THEREOF
OUT OF IT.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her
place, in the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.

The prophet Haggai also refers to the day of Yahweh, when Messiah shall come in
judgment. Haggai 2:6 says,

6 For thus saith Yahweh of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the
heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land.

The New Testament author of the book of Hebrews referred to this passage in Haggai
in Hebrews twelve.

26 Whose voice then shook the earth, but now He hath promised, saying, Yet
once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27 And this word, "yet once more." signifieth the REMOVING OF THOSE
THINGS THAT ARE SHAKEN, as of things that are made, that those things
which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore, we receiving a Kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have
grace, whereby we may serve Yahweh acceptably with reverence and righteous
fear.

In each case the theme is clear: Yahweh will soon shake the earth in tribulation, in order
to throw down all man-made systems and in order to remove all the wicked from the
earth. This shake-down will be so great in the day of Yahweh that only those things
which support Yahweh's Kingdom will remain standing. Yahweh will cleanse His earth
and rule all nations in righteousness.

Yahshua's parables of the Kingdom reveal the same theme as well. In Matthew 13:2430
Yahshua pictured the Son of man planting good seed in his field, and then one night an
enemy sowed tares among the wheat. In the parable, no one appeared to know about
the tares until the wheat and the tares began to bear fruit (or go to seed). At that point
the tares were discovered, and the servants asked what to do about it. The Son of man
instructed them to await the harvest, lest the wheat plants be rooted up along with the
tares.

Then the instructions were to "gather ye together FIRST THE TARES, and bind them in
bundles to burn them." and then gather the wheat into the barn.

The lesson is clear for those who know what tares are. Tares are today known as
zewan in Palestine. Tares look like wheat plants as they mature, but when they are full
grown and begin to bear fruit, the fruit of the wheat is golden, while that of the tares is
almost black. The wheat is nourishing, but the fruit of the tares is bitter and poisonous.
Farmers have to remove each tare seed from the wheat before grinding the wheat to
flour.

Thus, the tares were separated and removed from the wheat FIRST. The wicked are to
be removed from the earth--not the righteous. Hence, we look not for the rapture of the
assembly, but rather for the "rapture" of the wicked. Only then will come the "harvest,"
when the righteous will "shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father" (Matthew
13:43).

Later in this same chapter Yahshua told another similar parable, in which a fisherman
cast his nets into the water and drew to shore all types of fish, both good and bad. Then
he sat down and separated the fish. Yahshua concluded the parable with these words:

49 So shall it be at the end of the world (age), the angles (elect of Yahweh) shall
come forth, and SEVER THE WICKED from among the just.

Again, note that it is not the just who will be "removed," but rather the wicked. This is the
constant and consistent theme throughout the Scriptures. We are never given any good
reason to believe anything different.

8. CONCLUSION

In ancient times the prophets saw a long-term conflict between two great cities:
Jerusalem and Babylon. Jerusalem was the city from which Yahweh ruled in
righteousness; Babylon was the city from which the false gods ruled by their own man made
laws. These two cities represented two opposing systems of government, two
different social orders, two different economic systems, and above all, two different
religions. (Worship of Yahweh and followers of Baal).

Both of these cities were eventually destroyed, but their influences and systems lived
on. In prophetic terms they are known as the New Jerusalem and Mystery Babylon.
These are not literal cities any move. Mystery Babylon is not the old city, nor is the New
Jerusalem the same as the old city of Jerusalem.

When Yahweh revealed to John the destruction of Mystery Babylon in Revelation 17-19,
He told His people in chapter 18,

4...Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Come out of the world and Beast power.)

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and Yahweh hath remembered her
iniquities.

6 REWARD HER EVEN AS SHE REWARDED YOU, and double unto her double
according to her works; in the cup which she hath filled, fill to her double.

In other words, Yahweh has commanded Covenant people everywhere to leave the
Babylonian system (political, social, economic, and religious Babylon), in order that we
be not accomplices in her sins and thus receive her judgment.

Secondly, Yahweh commanded Covenant people to judge Babylon and reward her
even as she rewarded you. The Law of Yahweh specifies that the witnesses against a
criminal are to be first to stone those convicted of capital crimes.

As Believers, we are witnesses against Mystery Babylon and will eventually be called to witness against her and stone her. The Law also demands that the offender pay double restitution to his
victims in case of theft. Thus, Yahweh says to render to Babylon double what she has
done to you. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 6:2,

2 Do ye not know that the saints will judge the world? and if the world shall be
judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Thus, our righteous duties preclude us from leaving the earth before the time of
judgment. Yahweh expects us to prepare ourselves to judge His enemies in Mystery
Babylon. But we must be careful not to do so before the harvest, or we may uproot the
wheat along with the tares.

But how shall we prepare ourselves to be used in the judgment of the Great Whore, if
we are only planning to evacuate the earth before that judgment? This is not so much a
question of salvation as it is a question of how much we will be used of Yahweh in His
great plan for us, as part of our inheritance. (Psalm 149)

When viewed from that perspective, it does make a great deal of difference which view
of prophecy we take. Futurism, along with its child, the doctrine of the pre-tribulation
rapture of the assembly, will provide little incentive for the average Believer to prepare
to judge the world by the Divine Law. How many Believers today study the Law of
Yahweh to learn the basic principles of Divine Justice?

Let us be about our Father's business and occupy till He comes again. Let us study to
show ourselves approved unto Yahweh. Let us learn the basic principles of Bible Law
and government, that we may be able to judge righteously. Let us prepare ourselves to
rule with Messiah on the earth in a cleansed Kingdom.

False Names Produce False Evangels from the website Paleo Times

The person Christian leaders teach is not a false Messiah, but the name that they have chosen for him is a false name, which does not represent the Messiah in any form or fashion. Christian leaders have altered the saving name of the Messiah, to that which comes from their sinful minds, and their own understanding. This is a direct violation of the following scripture.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

No Other Name

If you do a word study on the above scripture you will come up with the following meaning of Acts 4:12.

“Never is there salvation in any else: for there is not even an ALTERED name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Not only has the name of the Messiah been altered, but the name of the Father has been altered as well. This is also a direct violation of another scripture.
You shall not misuse the name of YAHWEH your Elohim, for YAHWEH, will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. (Ex 20:7)

If you do a word study on the above scripture you will come up with the following meaning of Ex 20:7.

Accept not the name of YAHWEH thy Elohim falsely for YAHWEH will not hold him guiltless that accept his name falsely. (Ex 20:7)

When one tampers and alters a powerful and saving name such as our Creator, the consequences of such an act can be deadly, and it will leave the altered name useless and void. It will also render the altered names to be and represent falsehood, wherever they are used or applied to.
Christian leaders have produced false names for the Creator and for the Messiah. Such actions of falsehood will have no choice, but to breed other falsehoods.

The doctrines and beliefs of today’s Christian leaders, are put into the name “Jesus” and “the Lord God”, then there are applied to the person of the Hebrew Messiah, which Christianity has named, with the counterfeit English name “Jesus”. These doctrines and beliefs that are applied to the name “Jesus” by Christian leaders, are far, far different than what the scriptures teach. The beliefs and doctrines of these Christian leaders, who teach and preach the names Jesus, and the Lord God, are not in any way associated or have anything to do with, the most important and crucial doctrines in the scriptures. Therefore the names Jesus and the Lord God, do not directly apply to the person of the true Messiah. Why you will ask? Because the doctrines and beliefs that come through and are put into those names, do not apply to the most important, and crucial beliefs and doctrines found in the scriptures. Therefore again, the names Jesus and the Lord God represent and identify the counterfeit religion and the counterfeit evangel complete with alternative names. Surly after knowing about the deception power of Lucifer and what he can do, you would not think that Lucifer has not counterfeited the true evangel, after 1800 years or so. Would you?

There is a Difference

I believe the only thing, we have in common with the teachings of Christian leaders of today, is that we both know and believe of a Messiah, who was born in Israel. However the most important, and crucial beliefs and doctrines of the early Assembly, were identified, associated and applied to and with the Messiah’s real name. This was done by the acts of those believing, living and teaching the words of the Apostles, which was given by Yahshua. All of these teachings can be found in the scriptures, however Christian leaders of today (led by haSatan, ignorantly) have taken the basic message, of the death and burial and resurrection of an Israeli Messiah and have applied their own carnal doctrines and beliefs to the message of a Hebrew Savior. This has produced a counterfeit evangel, full of pagan traditions and beliefs and doctrines, that cannot be found in the scriptures and this counterfeit evangel is identified with the names Jesus, and the Lord God.

I am sure if the Apostles were here today and they heard you teach and preach an English named, Greek titled, Israeli Messiah, they would say: “Who are you preaching about” and “what evangel is this”. You would then have the same problem with them, and to think, you could teach them. Yet they would have a bigger problem with doctrine of Christian leaders.

The following scriptures prove the point, that holding fast to his name was a very important issue. The following scriptures also prove that haSatan had already begun his work, but they held fast to the Messiah name anyway. Yes they held fast to the name, that came from above and we all should too, don’t you think?

“I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” (Rev 3:8)
“I know where you live-where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city-where Satan lives.” (Rev 2:13)

When it’s all over with there will be books in the kingdom, which will teach about the time period of when the evangel was preached to its end. I am sure that the title of the counterfeit religion will be named “Christianity” and the names (they chose) that were associated with this counterfeit evangel and religion, will be “Jesus Christ” and the Lord God. Yes, I understand that this is a bold statement, but the facts in the great errors of the beliefs and doctrines of Christian leaders and the names Jesus Christ and Lord God, are exposed.

Has not Lucifer deceived the whole world according to scripture? Doesn’t the scripture also teach, that only a few be there that find life? Just as Yahshua was busy about doing the Fathers business, the enemy has been about his deceiving business for the past 1800 years or so.

The True Faith

Yahshua came to bring salvation to his people during a time period of when the religious leaders of that day, had taken the true religion of Judaism and altered, changed, and perverted it with the doctrines, traditions and commandments of men. Not only did the religious leaders of that day pervert the true religion of that day, but they also laid aside and rejected the commandments of YAHWEH.
So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Yahshua, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with `unclean’ hands?”

He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men. You have let go of the commands of Elohim and are holding on to the traditions of men. And he said to them: You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of Elohim in order to observe your own traditions!” (Mark 7:5-9)

Well you know what? YAHWEH allowed his true religion of that day, to be perverted by the religious leaders of that day. The very same thing has happed to the evangel. Christian leaders have altered, changed, and perverted the true message of the evangel, with the doctrines, traditions and commandments of men. Not only did the religious leaders of today, pervert the true message of the evangel, but these Christian leaders also have laid aside, rejected, and teach against the commandments of YAHWEH. Another generation of Pharisees are BACK with a newer title, they are called “Christian Pharisees” and OH YES! We were warned against them.

“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to gehenna? Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.”(Matt 23:33-34)

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.” (1 Tim 4:1-2)

“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Tim 4:3-4)

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Masicah who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.” (2 Peter 2:1-3)

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from Elohim, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)

“The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” (Rev 12:9)

The Great Voice of Truth

The day is coming that the true evangel is going to have a great voice, which is going to teach against the altered perverted religion of Christian leaders, who have refuse to repent from their own religious commandments and traditions. It will be much like the religious leaders of that day.

“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to gehenna? Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.” (Matt 23:33-34)

“But when he (John) saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not think you can say to yourselves, We have Abraham as our father. I tell you that out of these stones Elohim can raise up children for Abraham.” (Matt 3:7-9)

“All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to Elohim.” (John 16:1-2)

Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from Elohim. (John 12:42-43)

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,” (Matt 24:9-12)

One of the things religious leaders of that day and today hate is to be questioned and corrected in their beliefs. It does not matter if it was Yahshua doing the questioning and correction. This even proves that any Christian leader who is steeped in their own traditions, would not even be able to hear the true words of YAHWEH even though they are confronted, with the manifestation of YAHWEH in person, and face to face.

“To this they replied, You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us! And they threw him out.” (John 9:34)

Just try to openly oppose the false teachings of your Pastor and do it face to face, and see what happens. I know from experiences, what happens, and no I am not talking about disrupting a service. You will soon be disfellowshipped in front of 250 people or more, in a Sunday morning worship service. Furthermore you will not be allowed to go to other like fellowships, because you have openly questioned and opposed the doctrines of the leaders in that fellowship. There are many who refuse to take a stand on truth, because they are afraid of the Christian leaders.

“But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the Jews.” ( John 7:13)
Yes, even leaders will fear their own kind, because they like the praise more than the praise of Elohim.

“Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from Elohim.” (John 12:42-43)

Christian leaders do not want you to teach or believe anything different than what has been traditionally taught and accepted by them.

“Having brought the apostles, they made them appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest. We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name, he said. Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” (Acts 5:27-28)

Teach in the Name of Messiah

Note in the scripture above, the leaders have already commanded the Apostles not to teach the name of the Messiah anymore. The leaders of that day, made it a penalty of death, for anyone to use, say or speak the Father’s name in anyway. This can be found in the Talmud. The Jews have also been taught by their religious leaders, not to use or speak the short poetic form of the Father’s name of “YAH” in front of a name.

This is one of the very reasons why the leaders of that day, did not want people to use, call on, or teach the name YAHshua. The name that was given to the Messiah, was of and from the name of the Father “YAHWEH”. In other words the name that was given for salvation is a family name which contains the Fathers name. The phonetic spelling of the name Yahshua carries forth the short poetic form of the Fathers name when it is pronounced.

However the phonetic spelling of Jesus or Iesous, does not carry forth the short poetic form of the Fathers name when it is pronounced. Therefore the teachings of the Christian leaders on the issue of the name, teaches that Iesous and Jesus are a transliteration of the Messiah’s true name. This is an out right lie which is used to cover a mistake that they are not willing to correct or admit.

The transliterations of Iesous and Jesus do not sound alike, nor do those names sound anything like the name “Yahshua”. There is not even a “J” sound in Hebrew, nor was there a “J” sound in English, until about four hundred years ago. So how can the name “Jesus” which has a “J” sound, be a transliteration of the given Hebrew name of “Yahshua”, when there is not even a “J” sound in the Hebrew language?

The traditions of the issue of the name of YAHWEH, which came from the
religious Pharisees and Sadducees, have been passed down and adopted by Christian leaders. This is why the name of the Father has been totally replace with “the LORD” and why the name “Jesus” does not contain the Fathers name. The name Yahshua has the meaning of salvation with the Father’s name.

Yet Christian leaders want to teach the name “Jesus” which is void of the Fathers name. According to scripture there would be a time like never before, when YAHWEH would give his name, for use in salvation when called on.

“And everyone who calls on the name YAHWEH will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as YAHWEH has said, among the survivors whom YAHWEH calls.” (Joel 2:32) (YAHWEH was the name originally written)

According the scripture above, it did not matter what language the people would speak, when they were to call on the name YAHWEH for salvation. Yet the Jewish Pharisees made it against their own laws, to speak the name of YAHWEH, and the Christian Pharisees have totally replaced the Father’s name with the plain old title “the LORD”. They have also made sure that the short poetic form of “YAH” is not called on or used, when the name Jesus is spoken. Seems to be that Lucifer knows scripture too! You do know what his job is don’t you? Yes, it is to keep you from the prophetic saving name of the Father and Son, therefore keeping you from the true evangel.

Obey Yahweh

Please note in the first words of Peter’s reply, to the commands of not teaching the given name anymore:

“Peter and the other apostles replied: We must obey Elohim rather than men! The Elohim of our fathers raised Yahshua from the dead-whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. Elohim exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Set-Apart Spirit, whom Elohim has given to those who obey him.” (Acts 5:29-32)

When religious leaders who are in error, and refuse the true words of YAHWEH, are confronted with truth, and are corrected in their beliefs, they become outraged and this is what can happen.
“When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death.” (Acts 5:33)

“At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, Master Yahshua, receive my spirit. Then he fell on his knees and cried out, Master, do not hold this sin against them. When he had said this, he fell asleep.” (Acts 7:57-60)

This has also happened among the Christian leaders who were opposed for their false teachings. Just think about the RCC and the Roman Crusades. How many people do you think, have been put to death by Christian leaders, who represented the names Iesous, Jesus, and the LORD GOD?

Please take a stand against these Christian Pharisees and Scribes (Translators) who have rejected and teach against the true names and the laws of YAHWEH. For they have been used as tools of haSatan for the use in a counterfeit evangel.

These Christian Pharisees reject the Feasts of YAHWEH, (Lev:23:1) and erroneously teach that they are Jewish feasts. These Christian Leaders would rather teach and keep the pagan holidays, that are steeped full of pagan practices, and customs than keep YAHWEH’s feast days. Some of these pagan holidays are associated with and to be that, which comes from the beliefs, in the names Jesus, and the LORD GOD, which further proves that the beliefs in Christianity are not scriptural, and the beliefs of a counterfeit, perverted religion. I know many Christians who are more repulsed, by the idea of non-believer in Christmas and Easter, than someone who does not even believe in their Jesus. These same Christians become more repulsed, when you show them that their beliefs in their religious holidays, are not scriptural and steeped full of pagan practices. However the Christian Pharisees will continue with their Christmas and Easter ham instead of the lamb and they will continue to teach the same.

The Christian Pharisees should question Yahshua, on many of their own commandments and traditions too!

“Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Yahshua from Jerusalem and asked, Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat! Yahshua replied, And why do you break the command of Elohim for the sake of your tradition? For Elohim said, Honor your father and mother and Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death. But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to Elohim, he is not to honor his father with it. Thus you nullify the word of Elohim for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.” (Matt 15:1-9)

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of gehenna as you are.” (Matt 23:13-15)

The above scriptures apply to all religious leaders, who reject and teach against the laws of YAHWEH for their own commandments and traditions. It also applies to all Christian leaders who travel over land and sea to win converts, without teaching the truth of salvation, which is found in the examples of the Apostles doctrine. They will however continue to teach them the “Just believe and Confess” commission, and then teach them how to remain in, and continue the same counterfeit religion, which is deeply rooted in paganism, complete with the use of counterfeit names that apply to their own religion.

The title of “Christian Pharisees” is very appropriate, don’t you think?

May YAHWEH bless you with the belief that pertains to truth in Yahshua!
